Splinter Cell: Blacklist is a tactical 3rd person stealth based shooter game.
A lot to read all at once I know, but this game will be worth it.
This is the newest in a long lasting series created by Tom Clancy and hosted by Ubisoft. This game is incorporating many new features and allows for players to play their own way without penalty for the games own style.
The game series has already rewarded players for being stealthy through points to unlock better equipment but the way to get the points has always been through stealth alone. However, now the creators have realized that they can divide players into three main groups, Stealth, Assault, and Panther.
Stealth as the name suggests focuses on staying quiet and not getting detected during mission and the use of non-lethal take downs to get points and complete challenges.
Assault is the exact opposite. When focusing on assault players can be loud and lethal all they want and they will still gain points and complete challenges.
Panther is a little more flexible. It focuses on staying quiet but not leaving any enemies behind just in case. You will want to stay stealthy, but you can get the enemies out of your way using whatever methods you decide to and will once again gain points and complete challenges.
This game promises to be an amazing addition to the series and will bring the series back closer to its roots while still being flexible to new players as they learn to use the stealth elements to their advantage and decide how they think a situation should be handled. I can not wait for this game and will continue to follow its progress.

So basically you can gain points for doing what ever you want. I don't understand why people like this game. I basically don't understand shooters in general. They just entice people to think low of death, and rampaging through a shooter in no exception. That being said the game does seem fun and it would be interesting to see how the story unfold for each way a character completes a mission.
