Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is a tactical 3rd person stealth based shooter game.
A lot to read all at once I know, but this game will be worth it.
This is the newest in a long lasting series created by Tom Clancy and hosted by Ubisoft. This game is incorporating many new features and allows for players to play their own way without penalty for the games own style.
The game series has already rewarded players for being stealthy through points to unlock better equipment but the way to get the points has always been through stealth alone. However, now the creators have realized that they can divide players into three main groups, Stealth, Assault, and Panther.
Stealth as the name suggests focuses on staying quiet and not getting detected during mission and the use of non-lethal take downs to get points and complete challenges.
Assault is the exact opposite. When focusing on assault players can be loud and lethal all they want and they will still gain points and complete challenges.
Panther is a little more flexible. It focuses on staying quiet but not leaving any enemies behind just in case. You will want to stay stealthy, but you can get the enemies out of your way using whatever methods you decide to and will once again gain points and complete challenges.
This game promises to be an amazing addition to the series and will bring the series back closer to its roots while still being flexible to new players as they learn to use the stealth elements to their advantage and decide how they think a situation should be handled. I can not wait for this game and will continue to follow its progress.

Defiance

Defiance is a new genre of game.
The game will be released in April and will also have a corresponding TV show airing on SyFy. The show will follow along at the same time as the game and will air weekly. Events in the show will also affect the game in real time.
The game is an MMORPG and will be available on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. There are no separate servers for the games but a single server so all players on the same device (Xbox 360, PS3, etc.) will be able to play together.
The game is currently in Beta test and is open to players who pre-order or were involved in previous beta players.

D.M.C. - Devil May Cry

D.M.C. - Devil May Cry is a reboot for the long enduring series Devil May Cry. The series follows the protagonist Dante.
Dante is one of two twin sons of the Devil Prince Sparda and the Archangel Eva. The Devil King Mundus killed Eva and imprisoned Sparda in an eternal Hell for falling in love and having a child, as he only knew about one of the twins. The other twin's name is Vergil. Both of the twins were taught to fight and were given their parents power as they were growing up.
The new game has begun back when Dante found out his true heritage. He and Vergil soon meet and they plan to end Mundus's reign over the city of Limbo.
The game really sucks you in and though it the original advertising made many of the die hard fan of the series complain i believe that it has earned its place in the series.

Ghost Recon: Online

Ghost Recon: Online is a Free-To-Play third-person shooter game for PC created and supported by Ubisoft, the designers behind the Tom Clancy game series and the Assassin's Creed series that I talked about last week.
The game is, as I previously stated, free to play. You are given a choice between three different classes for each match. The classes are Recon, Assault, and Specialist. The Recon class focuses on long range sniping and is complimented by the ability to go invisible for short periods of time while moving slowly. The Assault class has better armor than the other two classes and is best for mid to close range fighting. Lastly, the Specialist class uses item like sensor grenades to inform their team of the locations of enemy players.
Each of the classes level up separately to unlock access to better weapons and armor. To unlock the higher level equipment or purchase upgrades you can use in-game currency, gained by playing matches, or in some cases you can buy special tokens using real currency to get the equipment. In some special cases the later is the only way to receive some promotional items.
This is a game that is still in the beta stages and I would suggest following and getting into now. The game can only get better from her on out and I am sure it will.

Assassin's Creed Series

Developer: Ubisoft Montreal

In recent years there have been many different games that have an annual release date. Of them the Assassin's Creed series has continued to amaze each year with each new chapter of the story told through the innovative use of historical facts and the realistic twisting of the 'grey areas' in history where we aren't exactly sure what happened.

The series currently includes:
Assassin's Creed
Assassin's Creed II
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Assassin's Creed III

These games are all available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
The series also includes a few games made for mobile systems such as the PlayStation Portable or the Nintendo DS, and some made specifically for both Android and Apple touch devices.

The series follows Desmond Miles, the modern descendant of the Assassin's Brotherhood's leader around the time of the third crusade, Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. As the story begins you find he has been captured by the decedents of the Knights Templar, the antagonists of the Assassin's Brotherhood, which has gained power and influence in the modern world and are trying to gain complete control over the world using artifacts called Pieces of Eden, a direct reference to the Garden of Eden in the Bible.

This is an amazing series and though the first game is very slow to start, the time it will take to play and the lead in to the second game that begins a much faster pace is worth it. The series will allow you to see history from a point of view most people would never have considered. I personally will continue to follow this series and would recommend it to everyone.
